David James This book was not written with AI. I spent more than 1,500 hours across approximately 80 drafts over the course of a year, and it was edited by a professional editor who works with Simon & Schuster.

The manuscript has been reviewed—or is currently under review—by established literary outlets including BookLife, Kirkus, BlueInk, and Foreword Reviews. These organizations conduct rigorous, human-led editorial evaluations.

An AI-generated manuscript would not survive review by these institutions.

Booklife Review review (GLOWING) came out two days ago (go to booklife. com) and search "escala's wish review").

The other reviews are coming out in a few weeks (Kirkus is coming out January 12). Foreword Review is publishing the review in February.

BlueInk will be issued in late January.
