Thanks for making this post about it! The same thing happened to me, and it was nice to know I wasn't alone. Annoying that people do stuff like this, though.

I've had this happen repeatedly. I block and report them all to GR. I've also had numerous emails from people claiming to be book reviewers. It's so annoying that we have to waste our time dealing with these scammers.
Had one a few months ago, and just got one impersonating NK Jemisin. AI writes some beautiful flattery doesn’t it?

Thanks for the post! They reached out to me impersonating Danielle Steel. I had them switch to email and they created daniellesteel329@gmail.com
