I’ve been mostly a quiet reader here, but I really enjoy this group.
I’m especially drawn to psychological and atmospheric thrillers —
stories that focus more on inner tension and moral ambiguity
than on fast action.

Hi all,

The family left the U.K. last year, I now live in Barcelona, with my parents. I'm slowly gaining the courage to write reviews. Maybe chatting about books is a good start. I'm thankful for the opportunity to join your group and thankful I was tipped the wink about Goodreads.

I'm Dave from Northeast PA.
I read mostly mysteries with a few thrillers thrown in and the occasional romance.
I just signed a contract for my third book, The Spare Corpse, my second book (after Illegal Maneuvers) featuring high end car restorer Dan Gallagher.
My other book, Payback, is a suspense/thriller about the hunt for a dirty cop who gunned down a female detective.

I am also very new here. I started actively using Goodreads yesterday even though I have been having this account since 2018.

I am Mimi, 30 years old and coming from continental Europe. I mostly read in Italian, German or English. My favourite genres are Mystery, Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but I also enjoy reading Classics. My goal in 2026 is to read more Classics, right now I am reading Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie, after this I will read the Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.

I am looking forward meeting likeminded people I can share book recs and suggestions with!
