Ok yes, this review is excellent and I'm sufficiently scared of the book and also had nearly forgotten about Armie Hammer so *no thank you* for that

Lol that's the only cannibalism reference I can think of outside of horror movies I guess
A GR friend recently read a dinosaur erotica where the “hero” (who was a dinosaur) ate the heroine’s arm. 😳 But the dino book wasn’t even supposed to be sexy, just silly satire. That THIS includes cannibalism as supposedly legit hotness is greatly disturbing. Wtf is wrong with writers these days? The quest for ever more ridiculous levels of Dark Dark Daaaark has resulted in…books like this. No thx. 🙄

I agree. Sometimes you can tell they're trying so hard to make the hero in particular dark. If I get that feeling then I'm not going to enjoy it, it's going to seem cheesy. Like, don't have him go on for paragraphs about how dark and bad he is, just have him do something bad for god's sake.

So how did she survive her arm being chewed off?
Clarice wrote: "Great review. Ya the cannibalism in general is a big no for me."
Yeah... his werewolf saliva made it heal quickly but OW

I forget… something along the lines of magical spit.
ITA. Too many authors waste words on the hero babbling about how awful/dark/terrible he is, just like they waste words on the heroine babbling how she’s misunderstood/misfit/not like other girls. Zzzz.

Lol that's almost enough to make me check this out again 😂
The detour storyline between Wright+ Devil/Dead Wife/Sadie is just cumbersome. If the plot was a bit more staid or linear, I think it would be a potent mix of erotic and sinister. Instead it feels like another tangent, hazey, murky piece.

I agree!
Who do you think you are, Armie Hammer?
LOL! Omg, this exactly! I'm about to DNF too, for these very reasons.

Yeah every time I read erotic horror I mentally prepare myself for the inevitable cannibalism

Lollll put the leg-snacking in the background unless it's a turkey leg
I can't get with the whole knotting thing. It gives Ick. I don't want to sign up for this either. Thanks for the warning lol.
