You need a new niece?🤣😝❤️
I am female, but I can pretend to be your favorite nephew and take that unused kindle off his hands!!! 😂.
Can definitely relate. Felt my heart rip when my sister-in-law informed that my niece and nephew, age five, no longer like books. But they use the heck out of their iPads!😱🙄
My, how I can relate to this! My nieces hate to read. It breaks my heart. I truly tried to instill the love of literature into them, but alas. And, this is doubly sad to me because I write! LOL! Cats everytime. Ha!
😂😢😂😢😂😢😂😢😂😢😂😢
I feel your pain… and laughter…
Marquise, I’m an author, and other than my wife and daughter, I can’t get anybody in my family to even read my stuff, let alone someone else’s!
Gift me a book and I’ll read it! 😂
So sorry to read his kebab place closed. I know how much some people like their döner kebab.
In all seriousness, shame they weren’t as pleased with the kindle as you’d hoped. Seems like they don’t know or appreciate yet how many literary treasures a kindle can store. Then again, I only know like two people who enjoy reading a book on occasion. And my mom’s one of them. Can’t even get my best friend to pick up a book, let alone read one.
Kids these days *sigh* What's the world coming to when kids don't like to read anymore. Granted, I don't always do it on my kindle, but I usually have several books going at once--one physical and usually at least two digital--for depending on WHERE and WHEN I'm reading.

Your children did a good job with them. ❤️

Yeah! My siblings all read, our dad made sure of that, but the new generation... 😂

If he hasn't repurposed it as a paperweight or door holder or something! 🤣

Aw, too young to already discard books! 😕

I tried too, as did my siblings. But kids these days, indeed. They're wired differently, they're born glued to a screen.

Who's going to keep the Beauty & Beast project going on for centuries if they don't wanna read my fairy tales? 😢😢😢
I should've gifted the kids iPads and a paid subscription to some influencer's channel or something for Christmas. In my day we learnt about fairies and talking animals from picture books and our mummy at bedtime, they learn about the best brand of crayola and kid tablets as sponsored by PinkCapitalismForBabies on Tiktok. 🤣

And AUTHENTIC kebabs made by a Turk too, the nephew let me know. 🤣
They have their own interests and are more visual than verbal, active kids both and are good at what they like. It just happens it isn't reading.

The end times, m'dear. Soon people won't read but have a chip with 100,000 books implanted behind their eyes if Elon gets his way, and paper/Kindle readers like us will become museum curiosities. 😂

Being on your phone/tablet all day counts as reading, the kids swear, I'm just old-fashioned. Me, the auntie that's barely older than them, and they've called me ancient. 😂

Have you had any better luck with your kid siblings than I have with my kid nephew/niece? Or are you considering your will and testament to your pup/kitty's name too? 😂
Three of my kids didn't enjoy reading but got into Erin Hunter's Warriors books. Two of them have moved on to other books; the last won't but has autism.

Two out of three ain't half bad. 😂

Look at it as half your children like reading. 😂
My oldest's gateway series was Goosebumps. The last one has a different taste in books than the others; she likes more mysteries and classics.

Well, I have neither cat nor dog right now, but my nephews are both too small yet to do much reading outside of listening to stories their mom reads them. On the plus side, all of my sisters and I are voracious readers, so there's a good chance their children will at least ENJOY reading. Whether or not they have good taste in books is the real issue. XD

There's still time! Train them whilst they're still small and can't escape. 😂

Haha, I shall do my best. The youngest of us is almost 16. So I'm trying to guide her to some good reading materials.

Keep her out of rubbish YA, "Booktok sensations," and whatever influencers are hyping these days, and she'll be set. <3
