Too bad it wasn't for you. It's a strange book. I'm still not sure I liked it. However, I liked the pace and tone, didn't find it dull but I understand why you did.
Hi Seb, yeah I saw you recently finished this. I liked the beautifully polished prose tbh, but having read the reviews and knowing it wasn’t ever going to kick up into another gear started to drive me nuts. I can handle dense language if something actually happens!
