I trust your review 👀 and bummer that it was thay bad. I hope you recover and love the next book you pick 🥰
It must be quite bad, I think so far I haven't read a negative review by u! Now I'm really curious about how bad it is!
@Cecile, this book did not read well. I love that this author is extreme, but being bullied to have sex pisses me off!
@Claire, they really are and I was dying to see what it was all about. I don't mind crazy if there is a romance involved. Unfortunately it was 90% abuse. It's just not what I choose to read 🤷

@Rain, if only we would have BR this. You would have had to give me online counselling or whiskey's...
Isabella. R wrote: "@Chris, it stays like that the entire book. I needed a turn of events. It's not a love story."
I just finished part one, starting part two. I just lost count on how many bottles of Champaign the heroine drinks to be able to be with the hero....
This was absolutely the vibe I got from this book so I'm glad I didn't read. I love Jade West too but pretty sure this one isn't for me.
Thanks for taking one for the team.
Great review too.

@Chris, I know right? At least it's the good stuff 🍾🍾
Things get a whole lot interesting in the second half!

@Cassandra, I hope Im not the reason you won't try it. It's just normally the author gives you a balance. Not in this instance, I couldn't take it.
Isabella the hea is for the couple or the heroine?
I’m curious because I like jade’s erotic but sometimes her heroines accept unacceptable things.
It looks like she was his victim instead of his lover
@Rebeka, there is a HEA for the heroine. There is a twist in the second part of the book that I won't spoil just in case you choose to read it.
@Emma, you'll need a strong stomach for this one. Thank you. I need an element of sweetness in my stories.
So I'm halfway through and it becomes boring... same $@%@ different day... and add another bottle...
@Chris, there needed to be a shift in their relationship by that point. And unfortunately she never enjoyed what he was having her do.

I'm not sure if I'll finish it... it becomes somewhat boring...
Most likely it will end up being one more book in my "reading pile"

🤣 I'd lord, I doubt I would have even finished it! You get all the awards for pushing through
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 1 star from you... and for a jade west book. so sorry it was such a disappointment! the hours spent reading it will not come back to you, but hopefully you find some amazing book that makes you forget fast...
I get what you mean. Usually there’s affection in the kink, no matter how crazy things get with this author but the alcohol and him persistently calling her a bitch felt abusive to me. Not what I was hoping for, I didn’t like this one either.
@Mia, it's really not me. I dislike writing these kinds of reviews. To me it wasn't a romance so reading the whole book to figure that out was really annoying! Thank you 😘
@Jacqueline, yes yes! Exactly. So apart from hating the dynamics, to not get a love story really shocked me as well.
I'm still reading this one and I am starting part 2 now but I left a current review of what I've read so far and want to know if anyone else has picked up on the parallels of the kinks that were in her earlier books. Only now they are laced with shame.
@Chris, the ending felt glossed over to try and provide a HEA. There was no real lead up to how it played out. You did good finishing it 😊
@Claudia, you make a valid point. In Dirty Bad Strangers they embraced who they were so all the kinks were just them. I couldn't wrap my feelings around all the shame in this book and why they were doing it.
I love Jade West as well but I had a feeling this one wasn't gonna be for me and your review solidified that.
Exactly, even the sex toy stretching that was featured in so many of her other works takes on a sense of awful manipulation. It really seems to negate all the good feelings about being free to be kinky because you question if it was real.
@Kendra, I am disappointed for you! I'm a huge fan as well. I'm just surprised with the path she went with this one.
@Claudia, I would have been okay had the heroine had come to her senses sooner and then the lead up for the HEA kicked in. All the sexual proclivities were forced even though she lied about it being okay.

@BB it was bad. You know what I'm like but I was upset the entire time. Thank you x
Now I'm low-key curious. Perhaps I need a good hate-read. I just need to know, is it going to scar me for life???
Man, I will say this shocks me because it’s you. But I started this and made myself stop because it all felt so fake. I figured it stemmed from the fact that I’m in a strange for me Hallmark phase. And this one started with too much sex, no realistic emotions and I knew it wasn’t for me right now. But after reading this I’m considering it may not be for me period. Thanks for taking one for the team.
