J. Beauclerc Hello gr friends! As a struggling writer, a lesser known writer, I work hard to create characters and storylines and develop plots. So, do you think there should be a warning label attached to any books where ChatGPT was used by the publisher, editor or writer? I for one would like a level playing field and authentic novels/novellas. What do you think? (OH and none of my work has ever included ChatGPT and will never be generated by anything but my brain, but I think many publishers do permit it and some well-known writers do use it)...So, I'd love to hear your thoughts

Haley Craig As a proofreader and beta reader, it annoys me so much. I work really hard at what I do, and some have the cheek to use AI to generate a review for authors, including those that have been paid. It makes it so much harder for others to get work now because authors are scared of handing over their creations, which I completely understand.

I guess we have to stick together to prevent AI and all that from stealing our jobs, creativity, futures. SO warnings should be put on any work that has a smidge of AI content or involvement...xo

Karen Sandler As an author, I do not use AI. I don't use it for writing my books, obviously (although there are those out there recommending exactly that), but I also don't use it for my blurbs, videos, or other marketing. I'm frequently getting email from supposed publicists offering their services, emails that are clearly written by AI. Not to mention how bad an AI server farm is for the environment. Blech to AI. :-(

You are a true writer in my eyes. I hope we can keep the art pure and untainted by AI. Very interesting to read your other observations and information; I didn't know there were AI farms...All the best to you and all the success with your writing. xo Jan Beauclerc
