Love this series. It was my light reading during Covid.
I'd never read any of them before, but I can see why. Great light reading. And surprisingly plausible and well done for a historical novel, too!
He does a really good job with believable language, style and historical values I think. Think my favourite in the series is 'The Reverse of the Medal', but it's hard to say.
Yes, very much so. Not convinced you can escape from France dressed as a bear (I'm on to Post Captain now) but it's so refreshing to read a historical novel in which they actually think like historical people - as you know better than I do!
