fr like im surprised i liked it so much when there’s zero smut. maybe im becoming a reformed whore😌
this description — fake-dating the rival of your best friend who you’re secretly in unrequited love with?? and said rival has been secretly obsessed with you from the moment you met?????

well there’s no explicit sex/smut whatsoever in this. there’s nothing beyond a pretty intense kiss. but the tension was really good, imo!! there’s a scene where there’s a royal photoshoot between them and it was ✨delicious✨ id say it wasn’t overly used throughout the book, but enough to keep you satisfied for sure :)

YES READ IT !!! Rafe is a lil sweet boy who i think you’d like🥺 if you read it, i need updates please👀
I'm curious! I don't really read non-smutty books because I'm that much of an horny perv but I may be tempted to read this after your review. The dynamic you talk about is one I usually love and if there is no smut and it still worked for you, it might work for me as well 🤔
Thanks for your great review! We shall embrace our inner weepy whore 😌

no im the exact same! (the book im reading now is heavy on the smut that i can’t even be mad about it bcos it’s compensating for me reading this and being a pure lil reader😌) but luckily the relationships and characters in this book were executed well enough that i didn’t need any smut or constant romantic interactions. im honestly shocked with how well it worked for me lol.
thank you!🤍 glad im not the only weepy whore around here💅🏻
I’m here for the weepy whore reviews 🛐
am I brave enough to read a romance with 0 smut? I’m not sure yet

ahah fr this is the only romance book without smut that has ever worked for me. any other time and my whorish ways can’t handle the sweetness.

okay- i just finished this one and loved it!! and i've gotta ask, do you also low-key want Brit and Callum to have a second-chance romance? cause i ended up LOVING Brit. the way she - with full sincerity - made Seraf that dress made out of drapes LOL
Yens {semi-hiatus} wrote: "ellie Accurate. 💅🏼💁🏻♀️"

IM SO HAPPY U LOVED IT🥺🥺🥺 omg same i loved Brit! she was so sweet and i loved how there was zero girl hate between her and Seraf, despite how hurt she was that Callum was with Brit. i haven’t given it much thought but I feel like if Callum grovelled enough, he and Brit could get back together😌
YES OMG THE DRESSES😭😭😭😭 she legit made them so earnestly and wanted Seraf to love it, when i low-key anticipated it to be some kind of catty sabotage... we love healthy female relationships in romance bo
The quotes (the one about Rafe saying he would be anything she wanted? Excuse me while i SWOON at the vulnerability), the lack of misogyny, the h having agency and mental health rep? This sounds dreamy tbh. Plus you know it's good when the lack of smut goes unnoticed.
I gotta say though, I don't have the patience for plot driven romances lately (with like 3 exceptions lol), so I admire the patience you displayed 😩 send some over my way

the man was obsessed with her from the moment they met and i just—🧎♀️🧎♀️🧎♀️🧎♀️ but omg you nailed it with the vulnerability bcos he really was like that in this book and it was sooo refreshing to have a swoony “bad boy” hero be soft and vulnerable, like he simped for Seraf soooo hard, eurgh my man.
and no one is more surprised than me for enjoying a romance with no smut🧍 smut is sustenance, but here i was fed regardless. but honestly i barely noticed how equally plot driven this was because all of the characters were so endearing. i think that says it all. 99% of the time, romcoms make me wanna gauge my eyeballs out but this one was ✨perfection✨
The way I was scrolling my TBR and landed on this one to consider til I saw my old concerned comments on the smut lack and was like, oop 🤣😂🤣 good to know I’m consistent

ahaha honestly this one was a unicorn for me bcos 99% no smut = sad/bored ellie, but this was hit. i got one of my other friends to read this and she agreed that the sexual tension made up for the lack of smut🤌🏻
