It’s a dilemma all right as British detective feels he needs to compromise his position to tip off a cocaine dealer to bring down the evil crime boss. Did he make a deal with the devil? Would it achieve the grand plan? The characters are indeed vividly written as the book was written by a detective who knows the good guys sometimes need to do bad things to achieve justice. A good read for sure.
