Hello there! 💞 I’m currently in the process of writing a research paper on the topic of youth media literacy on BookTok, focussing on these questions:

📚 How well do young readers distinguish between fictional narratives and real-life expectations, particularly regarding relationships and sexuality?
❤️‍🔥 Does exposure to romantic and sexually explicit content in literature influence young people's views on relationships and life experiences?
🔎 Are young readers equipped to make informed decisions about what content is appropriate for them to consume?
👀 What role, if any, should parents, educators, or other adults play in monitoring or guiding young people's reading choices?
