Hello!

I would like to request the adding of an award to my book.

My book "Sa Ika-ilang Sirkulo ng Impiyerno" won the Madrigal Gonzalez Best First Book Award in 2024. The award itself does not have a website, but here is the link to the Facebook post of Likhaan: University of the Philippines Institute of Creative Writing, which is the award-giving body.

When I click on your Facebook link I get a message saying

I cannot find this award on the Goodreads website. Does the award have a Filipino; Pilipino name?

Finally if the book is written exclusively in Filipino; Pilipino the description should be in Filipino; Pilipino. Can you supply me with a description in the correct language please.

Yes, the book is written exclusively in Filipino. Here is a description of the book in Filipino: "Sinasariwa nitong unang libro ng mga tula ni Miguel Paolo Celestial ang mga gusto mang limutin ngunit laging nagmumultong mga taon sa buhay ng awtor nang unti-unti siyang nilamon ng pagnanasa at ganap na nilulon ng adiksiyon sa droga."

The image in this website shows my book as one of the finalists of the Madrigal Gonzalez Best First Book Award. But there is no post on the website indicating that it was my book that won the contest.

I also can't find a site that says you won. AI is telling me you won, but I don't know if I'm allowed to accept that. So far librarians haven't been given any guidelines about AI.

Edit: is confirmation of the award still on Facebook, so another librarian can access it?

I still can't get in.

& although I do believe you, I can't just take your word for it, as I was one of the librarians who asked Gr for authors to provide more proof. Would not be a good look.

I have found the awards on Gr (don't know why I couldn't see them before)

I will ask the moderator what we should do in this case. You never know, she might be a Facebook person!

I haven't had advice from the moderator, but I have left the thread in Questions open in case she has a different opinion.

A Superlibrarian found the award on your publisher page & since you have provided independent proof that you were a finalist I have added the award. I have added the nominees for your award as well (the three where their book was on Goodreads)
