I haven't read this one, but the original trilogy is close to sadistic.

I’m reading partly because it’s such a pop culture thing, and partly because I’ve heard the themes are amazing, but at this point I’m also morbidly interested in seeing how everything ends up after all this 😅
I haven't read this one, but the trilogy is very much a 'corruption arc' which I hated. I didn't know that was a thing at the time when I read Mockingjay, but basically it's the opposite of a redemption arc (those are my favorite!) And made me so angry and even left me feeling sick and sad after finishing it. Hopefully that's not you experience, but yeah it definitely wasn't my cup of tea. 😣🤷♀️😬
I've only read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, so I can't comment on this one, but it's such a good series. 😍
Yeah, I think that's why Mockingjay broke me so much, I loved the first two in the trilogy, so it came as quite a shock to see how it all ended. 😭😱😫 I absolutely loved the first two at the time, and read Mockingjay right after it came out.

Aw, I'm sorry ☹️ I'm glad for the heads-up though, thank you!
