I loved the Cars back in the 80s, but also never saw them live. You review induced their songs floating in my head!

Yes, the book got me back into listening to them. I haven't heard PANORAMA in decades probably. They didn't tour as much as a lot of other bands like Cheap Trick and others. Ric Ocasek was not a fan of big tours.
I wasn't around for their heyday, but I used to listen to the Greatest Hits album a lot. You inspired me to fire it up this morning. "Dangerous Type" is a good one, though I think "Tonight She Comes" might be my favorite. So many great hooks scattered throughout the songs it's hard to choose, though.
"Tonight She Comes" is a really good one. I think that was their last recording when they were mostly getting along. Elliot Easton has some great guitar work in that song.
