Oh no! It is even more disappointing after back-to-back 5 star's. I appreciate your honesty Joey! I don't think I'd like that ending format either.

It was definitely not for me. Thank you.
I liked this one more than you did but I was frustrated with some of the choices Eve made — mainly letting strangers into her home! 🤣 It’s definitely hard to follow back-to-back 5 star books! Hope your next is better!

Loving my previous two books probably didn’t help my rating on this one. I agree that Eve’s decisions were horrible (and for the most part implausible) for the entire book. I’m glad you liked it because I know I have a problem with books I can’t relate to the characters or their decisions.
omg, I wanted to reach into the pages and shake Eve! I mean if creepy people come to your house during a storm, you don't offer them cocoa, duh! ... thanks for this honest review :-)

Haha. I agree 100 percent. As soon as the book started with that decision, I should have thrown it out the window.

Thanks. You definitely aren’t missing much in my opinion.

Me too. It was very strange
Oh no! What a disappointment Joey. I think I will avoid this one now! Thank you for your honest review. ☺️

Thank you, Karen.
YIKES. Sometimes I like macabre but not always. Having lived through some gruesome murders, I think this one is not for me.

Definitely not if you have that sort of background. I would avoid this one like the plague.
Good review, thanks for the heads up. My cousin actually went to her childhood home and was invited to look around (a pleasant visit with no ensuing horror), so this plot might have interested me.

I could see multiple scenarios where a homeowner might let a non-threatening family into their home to tour, but once the tour went over a certain amount of time, I don’t think any homeowner would react like Eve did. When the visiting dad didn’t even attempt to get his very young daughter out of a hidden location in a dark, creepy basement and just sat down for a meal at Eve’s house, I would have known this was the time for them to leave.😂 There were a lot of these ‘interesting’ decisions throughout the book.
