Has anyone else tried Amazon's virtual voice to create an audio book? I was invited to use it, so I reluctantly tried it on my latest book. I actually found it to be more efficient to work with than with a narrator. But there were quite a few pronunciation errors, and I was disappointed in how little the voice changed for different characters in dialogue. To change pronunciation errors is an interesting challenge. The word must be spelled phonetically. I hate to take work away from narrators, and I probably won't use virtual voice again. But I have to admit that several readers, who are friends, messaged me with generally positive reactions. I would love to hear about others' experience or opinions on using virtual voice.
