Well written review, Yun. I see why it was a three star read. You’ve really done a nice job describing how an author knocking it out of the park at the onset but failing to close as strong at the end.
I completely agree! I thought it was a five star read for the first half, such a good different funny idea. Then the second half was just so out there and Lauren became annoying and whiny.

Interesting. I went through 1/3 of this and lost interest. It started off great, like maybe a pitch for a high concept movie.
That's a good premise, no doubt! But not all creative ideas lead to satisfying books, and the mixed reviews this one is getting proves it. Too bad it wasn't better because it did seem to have a lot of potential. Great review, Yun! :)

Yes, the premise sounds interesting but, at its core, there needs to be some substance, A rudder, at least an oar!!! Sorry this doesn't pan out.
