Enjoying these reviews! My daughter (11) just got the first book and I've been wondering how deep into the series she should go.
Just FYI, there is a good bit of violence but it is couched as against monsters for the most part. I'm used to The Lord of the Rings, etc. but a younger child might need to talk about it...or not, because it's monsters.
I really enjoyed both Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus, but couldn't finish the Trials of Apollo. Too much political ideology for my taste.
