Sheelagh Thank you for choosing my book In-Between Girl as your February read.
I was asked if I could supply some questions for reads to ponder relating to Hannah's story and the themes in the book so here are some for you.

I will pop in from time to time and try to answer questions you may have.
With every blessing.
Sheelagh

1. The novel opens with a startling image that immediately distrupts Hannah's world. How did this opening affect your expectation for the story and its tone?

2. Amish tradition emphaizes humility and silence. How does the novel explore the tension between staying silent and speaking out? What are the consequences of each choice for Hannah?

3. Were there characters who embodied the values of each 'world' Hannah navigates?

4. Hannah must navigate faith in a waorld that does not share her beliefs. How does the movel speak to Christians living faithfully in a secular world today?

5. What did you think Hannah gains - loses - by the end of the novel? Did the ending feel hoepful, unsettling or bittersweet?
