I like him so far, but I'm not that far in yet. But I do love Clueless the movie and I adore Josh haha.
I want to re-read this one because when I read this and Pride and Prejudice as a teen this was my favourite! I wonder if it still would be as an adult? Great review Yun!!!
Omg yes! I saw someone mentioning a slow burn in this book, and I was so curious about how it'd work especially as a classic. So I'm glad you enjoyed this, I’ll definitely pick this as my next classic. Lovely review :)
Jane Austen is the author I want to read when I try to get back into classics. All of her books just seem so good.

She's very witty and funny, so it makes her books more enjoyable to read than other classics (at least for me lol). :)
I have only just downloaded GR and you're one of the first people I have followed. I'm so glad to see you're discovering Austen and recognising her for the revolutionary story teller that she was (and still is).
A witty and insightful woman with a very great deal to say about the society around her. So much is still applicable today. I hope you enjoy Persuasion as much as I did :)

Thanks, Ellie! So glad you're an Austen fan too! It's been fun to discover her works! :)
A wonderfully insightful review, Yun. Emma is so lacking in self-awareness. It is a delight to watch her blunder a bit.
AMAZING REVIEW LOVELY!! so happy you enjoyed, and thank you for motivating me to complete my “read more classics this yr” goal 💗🫶🏻

Thanks, Dawn! Best of luck on your reading goal! ❤️
I love that you brought Clueless into this reading experience. What a great comparison, Yun. Lovely review. ☺️
Great! I like your Austen era, too. :) Heh, now I'm curious which of her books you'll like the least/not like, because this was it for me.
I found I “got” her humor and irony best on audio. Maybe because I tend to want to skim old English but when listening it comes to life.
Timeless indeed!
Fabulous review Yun!
Some stories do have an unexplained way of winning you over. Terrific review, Yun! Long may the Jane Austen era reign. 🩵

Thanks, Marquise! So far it's P & P > Emma > S & S. I haven't read Persuasion yet. What about you? :)
Nancy wrote: "I love this Jane Austen reading spree you’re on, Yun! I had no idea Clueless was based on this one."
Thanks, Nancy! Yeah! Now that I've read the book, it makes me appreciate the movie even more because it's an amazing adaptation! :)

Thanks, Jan! That's totally fair. I feel like I can finally appreciate her now that I'm older. I remember reading her in high school English class and I didn't get it at all.
