M. Homer This book is fictional, but the feelings inside it are very real.

I grew up adored by my Italian grandparents, surrounded by loud conversations, big meals, bigger personalities, and a lot of love. I spent summers on farms near Bologna and along the Italian coast, and once even managed to fly to Italy on a budget ticket… only to land in completely the wrong airport. Those moments, chaotic, funny, tender, unforgettable—never really left me.

So while the story you’ll read is made up, the laughter, the tears, and the family bonds come straight from my own life. Written in the spirit of a Sophie Kinsella-style romantic comedy, this book is meant to make you laugh out loud, feel a little nostalgic, and maybe even think of the people who shaped you most.

If you’re in the mood for warmth, humor, and a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously (but still comes from the heart) I hope you’ll give it a chance.
