We watched the documentary about it for a management class and "Please don't climb Everest" was also my takeaway!

Agreed! Such a riveting book. Been many years since I read it, but I recall that it stayed with me for a long time. And I have found that to be the case with every Krakauer book I've read thus far. In addition to this one, I've read Into the Wild and Under the Banner of Heaven. Your review reminds me that I need to get to his other works soon.
@JD I was absolutely glued to the page for Under the Banner of heaven. Definitely need to read more of his works!
