i agree with bedriska severe OCD literally left me debilitated ain't no way i would've been thinking about sugar daddies while having a panic attack every five minutes

No, I was not paid, but I also do not support this book. I read it about a year ago and can’t remember the writing one way or another, but yeah no AI is killing the planet and I would never willingly support it.
Once Goodreads allows changes to reviews for this book I will be updating my review to state that.
Wait, so this book was written using AI?
@jeral it’s not been entirely confirmed yet (I’m sure Orbit is going to have to look into it or investigate it somehow) and I read it last year when it was self published and genuinely cannot remember the writing, but at the very least it’s looking like it was at least assisted by ai, if not partially or fully written with it. Frankie’s Shelf on YT made a really in depth video on it that I’m going to watch soon.

Thank you for this update, I dnf-ed this book when it was first released, didn’t like the writing at all and now I see why it was off putting to me. I also watched Frankie’s Shelf video and couldn’t agree more with what was said there.

I read this not too long ago and loved it. I listened to an audio ARC, so I also don't remember the writing much. It's difficult because we can't prove 100% AI was used or not unless the author admits to it. Such an unfortunate situation, but like you said, I hope they at least make a statement. It would look pretty sus if nothing is said on their part.
I'll have to keep an eye on how this unfolds, because I wanted to read it so bad! But I won't *knowingly* read AI. Thank you, I always appreciate your reviews and takes! ❤️

There was a sentence in Chapter 8 after she gets an eviction notice that says "Notice: Five days to pay rent or quit" that had me question how this passed editing but then I was like, well maybe this is a non US phase I am unaware of the meaning?
i was also so disheartened to hear this was most likely AI, it still won’t let me edit my review :(
@maggie I took that to just be a slum-lord not knowing eviction laws

Wow! This is a stunner. The cover art definitely looked familiar. Even if AI hasn’t partially written this novel, I’m removing it from my Want to Read shelf. I was questioning whether I even had the guts to read this story. Thank you for sharing the update. And, I appreciate your reviews. You’ve recommended some of the best books I’ve read during the past year or two. Cheers.

Thanks for this because Goodreads won’t allow me to delete this from my “want to read” shelf. They must be investigating it ? But it won’t allow me to delete it do anything with it. I decided I don’t want to read it weeks ago. Anyway, j emailed them and all I got back was a vague response about how sometimes they are reviewing guidelines & so basically it just is what it is.
So strange. I hope they remove this book.
I reached out to the publisher weeks ago. @john.
Can anyone tell me who the OG artist of the cover is??!! My dog is identical and I'd love to support them
