Thank you for the review, but I did want to clarify something. At no point does Devon put his hands on his girlfriend. There is one scene where he throws his notebook, and almost hits her, but it was not intentional. However, Ginni does hit him in one scene, then follows that up with a kiss. That is a common trope in relationships. Whether this is normalized or not, it is typically accepted in books.
Just wanted to clarify that one point as Devon does get physical often, but never with his girlfriend. The book does not condone violence, though violence is often a part of life. But I certainly would not want to depict violence against women without severe consequences for the perpetrator!
