Gertie Looks creepy!

As I get older some things get harder to watch. I'm losing my taste for zombie flicks I think, because it looks too scary haha.

message 8: by Sonja (new)

Sonja Finally a new movie I want to see, Die Alone

Haha, this one focuses more on the family drama, the zombies are not a focal point.

message 10: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I have not seen really any new PA stuff. It seems to have slowed down to a degree. At least nothing that has stuck out to me.
Outside does look interesting.

Sometimes family drama is more terrible than a zombie apocalypse

Jennifer Oh wait,
Leave the World Behind was good. ( it came out in 2023, I feel like it was more recent)

Nancy Project Hail Mary now has a confirmed release date of March 20, 2026. I wish it was sooner!

Who is starring in it? Or have they not cast it yet?

They finished filming. Ryan Gosling. I can’t picture him in it but who knows? I’m excited though but 2026 seems so far away!

Me either, I would have rather seen Matt Damon in it, he was good in The Martian.

message 18: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. He actually has *really* good range, so I'm confident he can pull it off. Though I was expecting someone ever so slightly older and less pretty, I think he'll be great.

message 19: by Gertie (new)

Gertie Also I loved this book so much and am so excited for the movie!

Less pretty…LOL

That’s probably what I was thinking too (and older looking).

message 21: by Stan (new)

Stan Morris The new Captain America looks interesting.

message 22: by Diane (new)

Diane 28 YEARS LATER in June!!! The trailer is amazing

Until Dawn

THE LONG WALK in September!

Also Death of a Unicorn looks like it might be good

Honestly the crop of movies coming out this year looks great.

message 23: by Erin (new)

Erin I re-watched 28 Days Later & 28 Weeks Later in anticipation for the next movie!

message 24: by Fishface (new)

Fishface The next GODZILLA MINUS ONE movie!

message 25: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I watched Minecraft with my son. Thankfully we had no Chicken jockey incidents happen, but my son was over the moon. They used many things that the players have created over the years. like Chicken Jockey and the Lava chicken.

message 26: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I may go see Death of a Unicorn next weekend.

Has anyone seen Mickey 17? I enjoyed the book (mostly) but the movie looks silly so I think I'll watch it from home.

message 27: by Lupe (new)

Lupe Dominguez The Life of Chuck looks like it's going to be pretty good!

No but I have heard of Mickey 17. Not sure if I am really interested in seeing it but maybe I will if it came on a service I have.

I hope so, King needs a win in the adaptation department.

Nicole (Nerdish.Maddog) Jennifer wrote: "Anyone going to see Sinners ?"

i saw it this weekend. It has stayed consistently sold out near me so this was the first weekend with open seats

message 37: by Gertie (new)

Gertie What did you think of it?

message 38: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (Nerdish.Maddog) I really enjoyed it and the soundtrack/score was amazing. I took my father and he even said he thinks it is worthy of winning some awards next award season.

non-spoiler note: Don't walk away (or turn it off for the streamers) right when the credits start.

I saw it yesterday. I thought it was really good. Definitely make sure to watch the credits.

I usually don’t watch horror movies in the theater anymore. I feel like so many are barely stream worthy anymore but this was really, really good. I am glad I saw it in the theater.

message 40: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I saw Sinners on Sunday. Its was so good. I want to see it again. The soundtrack is amazing. At one point the music made me cry. Does music do that to you ?

message 41: by Gertie (new)

Gertie I just don't understand the trailer, and something about it put me off. Do you think it's Gertie-friendly?

message 42: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Gertie wrote: "I just don't understand the trailer, and something about it put me off. Do you think it's Gertie-friendly?"

I think so. The trailer has a scene in it that makes it obvious what it is and maybe that is confusing when you see the rest of the trailer ????

I didn’t find it a scary movie.

It actually has a storyline. It has a different take on specific horror sub genre. I can add a spoiler tag if you want. I can’t remember if you ever said not liking this particular thing.

message 43: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I think this is a Gertie movie. Its also a musical. Live music. I have downloaded the soundtrack.

message 44: by Gertie (new)

Gertie Okay I may give it a shot when I see it available somewhere I stream movies.

message 45: by Nancy (new)
