I have a question. In your Amazon bio you state, “Books 2 and 3 are on the way. Lucan believes in rapid releases because readers shouldn't have to wait years between cliffhangers.” Is The Mirror’s Truth a stand alone novel, or does it end in a cliffhanger?

Thanks for responding so quickly. My mistake. I meant to ask if Breaking the Chains was a stand alone book. I knew that The Mirror’s Truth was a prequel.

It is the first of a series. Book 2 will be out in the near future. Book 3 is being written now and books 4, 5 are in the pipeline

A series can consist of all standalone books, where each book has its own complete story and characters, allowing readers to enjoy them independently. This approach can still create a cohesive theme or setting that connects the books without requiring them to be read in order. Some series, though, have cliffhanger endings at the end of each book except the last in the series.

What I am asking you is when I get to the end of Breaking the Chains after reading 507 pages, will it be a complete story (standalone), or will it be a cliffhanger ending?

Book 1 ends on a cliff hanger, Book 2 completes some arcs and starts some different arcs
