Your thoughts are mine exactly!! I thoroughly enjoyed it when I 1st read it in Grad School but I tried to read it again a few years ago & the Darkness was just too overwhelming...too Real & I had to put it down. But I love Van Helsing & Mina & the way they all band together to destroy the Dark. It's so uplifting!! But I don't know if I'll ever be able to read it again...
Same! I never actually finished this one, but your review matches my feelings on the part I did read so well!
