Actually, I hate giving up on books, but I grew up on PL Wodehouse and I keep looking for an author who will be as funny as him, Mark Twain or Mike Resnick (to name but a few). I have come to learn that books that are described as lol funny, rarely are and life is too short to work your way through a book you do not enjoy.
PS: For what it is worth, I have some of your other books which I will give a try because I do not mind your style, I am just not a Mills & Boon fan. Also, I skipped through a lot of the book and the fact that the ending seemed to leave a lot of loose ends did not encourage me to pick up where I left off.

Thanks for your review. Sorry, that you didn't enjoy the book and that you consider it formulaic. I've read some of your other reviews, they also seem to have a common thread; you don't seem to finish a lot of the books you start. Maybe it's because we're all terrible writers? Or maybe you should spend longer choosing the books you want to read?
