Tanya Maybe I should revisit it, our tastes usually overlap, but this was a rare 1-star from me!

Perhaps you need a dose of toxic masculinity (on the page, not real life) immediately beforehand to be in the right mood?

Michael B. As we both enjoyed this book I should like to recomend THE CHANGE by Kirsten Miller. Same satisfaction but with a bit more humor.

I'm not familiar with the book or author, so thank you.

Laysee I'm glad you found a book in which women have power, and it delivered. A captivating review, Cecily.

As am I! It tackles important issues in an easy way. It's not quite YA, but certainly accessible to teens.

It's an accessible and worthwhile read. If, like me, you're very familiar with Atwood's Gilead, this looks at similar issues, but through the other end of the telescope, which is fresh and revealing.

Brian I forget the substance of most books I read. But this is one that's stayed with me. It was chilling and gave me, I suspect, a good idea of what it's like to live as a woman in this patriarchal world. One of the best books I've ever read.

I hope many men read it and respond as you did - here, and in your own, excellent, review.
