Soph Tang oh gosh it's been a while since i've read Osea, but i fear your criticisms are all well-founded. there are a lot of reasons why this novel ended up the way that it is, and ultimately i appreciate the journey it went through, but for sure if i wrote it again in 2026, it would be quite different!

if you enjoyed Osea but want more of the world, i would really recommend Grand Challenge! it's written as almost a companion piece from a different perspective, and i think you'll like the writing style more (hopefully). and going along with what you've said, i realized it made more sense to split it into a trilogy rather than trying to cram everything into a single novel.

either way, thank you so much for giving this book a chance & taking the time to write such a thoughtful review about it! i hope you'll be back to Isarine in the future. it's got a lot more stories left to tell.
