I was no a fan of this one either.
I appreciated the vision of how climate disaster reshaped England. But the rest seemed recycled -- and two incidents of child harm! They seemed almost gratuitious.
I am at 20% and except for some brief sections, I find it a slog. Which is why I’m scanning reviews to see if I can get motivated. Your comments about part one just convinced me to let this one go back to the library and move on with my reading life. I love to read your reviews and we have quite a few 5 star books in common. This time we will share a dud.
