Owlseyes Greenland has "marbles" of other type. He's greedy about those "marbles". But he says it's about "national security".

David Gustafson Dwight Eisenhower and Winston Churchill have crowned Trump with The Kamala Harris Dingleberry Laurel Wreath for his efforts in destroying NATO.

Owlseyes That long wreath knocks out two rabbits in one single blow...

However, Putin ( I know you really don't like him) is leading in the Arctic infrastructure (military included). So, Trump is just trying to catch up.

Owlseyes Hi there David. Maybe you have something to tell us about Iran...in next few hours or days

message 5: by David (last edited Feb 21, 2026 07:57AM) (new)

David Gustafson Iran, Owlseyes?

Unless there is American military intervention on the ground, the IRGC regime will remain in power, murdering tens of thousands of its own citizens.
.
The IRGC may temper the current threat to its existence by agreeing to some sort of long drawn-out diplomatic consultations until Trump’s wave of egotistic narcissism subsides and he loses interest in the situation.
.
The sum of my thoughts on the current Iranian situation: the murder of tens of thousands of Iranians may temporarily subside, but the IRGC will simply outlast Trump’s addiction to the headlines and continue the slaughter at a later date.

Owlseyes Ooo. "Unless". The only way to solve the problem is "boots on the ground".

Situation looks scary, as the US military buildup around Iran continues. Some speculate of WWIII, thus other nations getting involved.

Your take doesn't contemplate (Iran) internal divisions.

Thanks anyway.

P.S. Trump will provide the USA people with a candy: total UFO disclosure 👽👽👽 ...Las Vegas is on the list, for sure. (Besides the Epstein list.)

Owlseyes David,

It seems the Ayatollah is gone. Most likely someone (of the same kind) will replace him.

"Mission accomplished" for Trump & Bibi? I guess, no. The Hormuz Strait got shut. How about the oil fields? (..)

"Let's go home", will Trump say?

Or, "let's deploy troops"?

I read somewhere this: "The United States may have simply lit the match for holy war."

message 8: by David (new)

David Gustafson Nothing will have been accomplished unless the Islamic regime is completely replaced.
.
That is unlikely to happen without troops on the ground.
.
A “Holy” war? What a silly conjecture.

message 9: by Owlseyes (new)

Owlseyes Ouch. Totally amazed. Vietnam come again? Iraq... Afghanistan? What a nightmare.

message 10: by David (new)

David Gustafson Iran under the Islamic regime is a nightmare

message 11: by Owlseyes (new)

Owlseyes Very true, nightmare regime. But it seems David has changed. I recall David complaining about Kissinger and the "agent orange" usage in Vietnam.

Has David become an interventionist (abroad)? (..) After 20 years in Afghanistan the US troops made a shameful withdrawal, under Biden. Sorry to recall.

message 12: by David (last edited Mar 02, 2026 06:15AM) (new)

David Gustafson The US had no business getting involved in Vietnam. It was not a threat.
.
Iran and the IRGC?
.
Yes! a thousand times!

message 13: by David (last edited Mar 02, 2026 09:58AM) (new)

David Gustafson Alyosha, the IRGC defies simple logic.
.
That seems to suit your lack of coherence very well.
