Jack Ace Dear Vicki,
Thank you for returning to that cursed black Ford — and for such a detailed, thoughtful review. I’m especially pleased the like father, like son thread worked for you. The idea that evil doesn’t merely survive, but waits, was the spine of this sequel. Your notes about repetition are fair and clearly observed. In part, that echoing was meant to feel cyclical — inherited, almost ritualistic — but I understand how that can begin to feel relentless rather than atmospheric. Nuance is always a blade worth sharpening. If you’re curious to see me in a different register, The Bitch of Buchenwald trades supernatural inheritance for historical brutality — colder, more grounded, and structurally very different. And who knows… your insights are genuinely helpful as I consider a potential third and final installment of Ghoul Car. If the road ends, it should end decisively — and evolve beyond what has come before. Thank you again for reading, and for engaging so deeply with the work. Best regards and stay safe, Jack

Peter Hi Vicki, good to see that you liked the book. Fully agree with you that Jack exaggerated a bit with his repetitions. He wanted to point out the desperate, tragic one way situation his main characters face, that they are determined and can't change because the evil influence of the car. This makes the book so very dark and intense. I'm really looking forward to the final part of the story and what twist it will take... all the best Peter

Vicki Herbert You're welcome, Jack. I'm glad you're going to revisit this story in a third installment. I'll look forward to reading it! 😊

Vicki Herbert Peter, I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment, and not to sound disrespectful to SK, I liked Jack's story much better than CHRISTINE. This part II was just a little over the top in the repetition. I'll be looking forward to part III 🙂

Peter Hi Vicki, well, Christine is one of my absolute favorites. Ghoul Car is fascinating with it's possessed car and the eerie serial killings. I'm very curious how the story will continue with Catherine behind the wheel. Yes, part 2 was a bit too desperate and hard. It read like a tragedy as it was centered around Catherine and Ethan, mother and son... let's wait and read hopefully soon. All the best Peter
