Certainly possible.
How about crawler bots looking for free content to add to their LLM databases to train AI? After all, the courts ruled that those companies are supposed to pay for content now.
I'm going to ask the GR author community if they've experienced anything similar.
From what I've read, the people developing AI are so hungry for content for their LLMs, that they've scoured the internet for it. It's why Anthropic settled with the Authors Guild for all the content that they'd pirated. They didn't want to risk losing all of that content.

I hate to say it, but it makes me wonder even more how many participants on this site are ghosts, or part of some effort to establish an online persona for other purposes.
