Dawn Kravagna The Twisted Root is an amazing book. I only didn’t vote for it because I’ve already read it.

Nic Scanlan-Dyas There are 58 Anne Perry title on Audible, but not The Twisted Root. 😡

Nic Scanlan-Dyas Anne Perry (born Juliet Marion Hulme; 28 October 1938 – 10 April 2023) was a British writer and convicted murderer.

Blimey. DID NOT KNOW THAT.

Bionic Jean Yes Nic. There was a film which tells the true story, directed by Peter Jackson (before his Tolkien films!) with a young Kate Winslet. Called "Heavenly Creatures" it's from 1994 and is an excellent - if very chilling - watch!

I tried unsuccessfully to link to the wiki article on "Heavenly Creatures", but GR doesn't allow it now.

Oh what a shame! I checked that it was in accessible editions; in fact mine is a Large Print Edition 😊It's also on kindle, and Chivers audio, so hopefully you'll be able to get that from your library, as I see you're also in the UK (and by the way I love your bio! 😂)

Oh good! (I mean the amazing bit 😆) and hopefully you will join in the discussion if it wins. It's been sitting on my shelves unread for years!
