Hello everyone!I’m a first-time author excited to share my upcoming memoir, Becoming Mama, which is a deeply personal story about the quiet, complicated, and profoundly human journey into motherhood.
Through candid reflection, lived experience, tenderness, and unflinching truth, Becoming Mama explores infertility and uncertainty, relationship changes, people pleasing and boundary setting, presence over performance, and the quiet strength required to protect what matters most.
This book is not about doing motherhood “right.” It is about becoming.
Whether you are a new mom, expecting, or yearning to become one, Becoming Mama offers companionship rather than answers. It names what motherhood can feel like in the raw and ordinary moments when you’re tired, unsure, and still showing up. It is a reminder that your love is enough, and that motherhood is not a destination, but a continual becoming.
Becoming Mama is available on Amazon Kindle Unlimited for free through Friday, January 16th.

If you’d like to read and share your honest thoughts, I’d be grateful. Reviews are completely optional and appreciated whenever you’re ready.
Thank you so much for considering!

Hi!Here’s my fast-paced epic fantasy. Not romantasy, not even remotely cozy. It’s a bit controversial.
It’s set in a dual-kingdom world. The main characters are in love, so there’s a strong romantic backbone, but the world is bigger than them and the stakes are real — a moving darkness threatens to consume the Citadel they live in, and war breaks out with the other kingdom. This is only Volume 1, so the ending is… kind of heartbreaking. But I’d genuinely love to know how you feel about it.
I’ve made it free on Google Play until it “debuts” on Amazon.
You can get it here:

I’m looking for die-hard fantasy fans to roast me — no, but seriously, any kind of review is welcome.
Thanks a lot!

Hi!I’m currently looking for ARC readers for my upcoming release The Wolf’s Mate, a dark and spicy romantasy retelling of Little Red Riding Hood.
Blurb:
Every child learns the same lesson: the forest is where you go to die.
Ruby knows better than to step into those trees. It is a dangerous, treacherous place filled with beasts, demons, and monsters.
But when hunters circle her like prey, she has no choice but to run straight into the woods.
Instead of death and desperation, she discovers a world hidden from human eyes. Ancient, strange, and alive in ways she never imagined. A world filled with strange folk… and a wolf who guards her with fierce devotion.
With every passing day, Ruby begins to see the truth.
The monsters in the old stories were never the ones living in the forest.
The Wolf’s Mate is a dark, spicy retelling of Little Red Riding Hood… where the wolf keeps the girl.

• fated mates

Greetings fellow authors!I have just finished reading a book and I'm ready for a new one. So, I am making what might be a one time offer to read a book for a review. You send me a book and I give you an honest review, posted wherever you want it.
My demands:
Looking for sci-fi or sci-fi adjacent books (For sci-fi adjacent think Twilight zone, Inception, that sort of thing or fantasy that is not sword and sorcery stuff). I'd like to see a synopsis and first chapter before agreeing to read the whole thing, so send or point me to it. I am a slow reader so it could take a while to get the review out (think months here, not days). The review will be completely honest and I will be more than happy to comment privately to any questions you may have about the review. I am NOT a reviewer! I just need something to read and thought I would offer some much needed services to someone who might need it. Bear this in mind.
If these demands are acceptable to you, then feel free to contact me, uh. . . here I guess. I haven't been on Goodreads in a long time, more or less since Amazon bought it, so I don't know how it works anymore, but I did click the "Notify me when people comment" button. I'm guessing that should do it.
That's it. Release the hounds!

I only saw the movie Annihilation and it wasn't really my taste, although the bear will haunt me forever. I think I don't do well with abstraction. Also, I didn't realize how few people actually visit this site and this topic specifically so I wound up picking up a different book to read already.
I see you were a finalist in a contest. Congratulations! That's impressive.
I think I will pass on this one. Sorry. But I wish you be best of luck. I'm sure with your literary chops, you will come out on top.
Hi everyone! My new children’s book, Fairytale Clues 2, has just been released, and I’m currently looking for a few kind readers who might be willing to share an honest review.
It’s a gentle, story-based book where children explore English through a magical world, friendly characters, and small discoveries along the way.
📚 The book is available on Amazon
📖 You can also read it through Kindle Unlimited
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy (or your child might enjoy), I would truly appreciate your thoughts; even a short review means so much and helps the book find its readers.
Thank you for your time and support!

Hi everyone,I’ve recently published a dystopian short story collection and I’m currently looking for a few readers who enjoy darker/speculative fiction.
It’s around 280 pages, but made up of self-contained stories, so it’s easy to read in parts rather than all at once.
I’m still in the early stages of getting it out there, so I’m offering free copies in exchange for honest reviews.
If it sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to reply or message me with your email and preferred format and I’ll send you a copy.

Beta Readers Wanted – Character-Driven FantasyHi everyone,
I’m looking for a few free beta readers for an adult character-driven fantasy project, The Railway Between Realms.
Genre / elements:
character-driven fantasy

found-family / traveling group dynamics
emotional growth
Tone:
gentle, immersive, strange, and wonder-filled

While searching for her missing younger brother, she falls in with a strange traveling group of companions—including animals, hybrids, and other creatures—and begins to discover that the journey may change her as much as the world itself.
About the project:
I’m taking a sabbatical from my dystopian novel to work on this fantasy project. I’m an insomniac, and this story partly grew out of the “bedtime adventure stories” my brain invents when I should probably be asleep and acting like a responsible adult.
I’m hoping the book feels transporting, imaginative, comforting, and emotionally engaging.
Beta reading format:
shared in Google Docs
sent in batches of 3–4 chapters
feedback collected through a Google Form
timeline is flexible
goal is to self-publish in 2027

I’m offering CUTTING GREEN CORN free May 14 through May 16 on Amazon Kindle. Please get a free copy and leave a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. I have lost five siblings and writing it was cathartic. I believe it reflects a depth of character gained from hardship. However, it is not sad or melancholy. I would like to know if it is meaningful to anyone else and I would like to know if I did a good job writing it.https://www.amazon.com/s?k=cutting+gr...
If you enjoy spiritual journeys, reflection, mystical symbolism, philosophical and magical realism or poetic spiritual fiction; then you will enjoy reading my work. It is quietly powerful and deeply reflective. I think it will resonate with readers who are drawn to themes with meaningful emotional depth without the shouting of our “too much of everything” world and without trying to shock the conscious. Nonetheless, rather than offering easy resolutions, my work moves through uncertainty and challenge toward something lasting; a sense that difficulty in our lives holds meaning, and that understanding, when it comes, is its own form of grace.

THE GLASSBLOWERS OF ARCADIYA THE AZURE LAMP BY RAFAEL BEN-MENASHE - MIDDLE GRADE FANTASY - RELEASING 1 AUGUST 2026 - ARC SIGN UP FORM BELOW Max Canuk isn’t your average eleven-year-old—he’s a glassblower, part of a rare magical community where glass is shaped from sand using magic only they know how to wield. But in the desert village of Nemesh, their magic is not free. The rulers of Arcadiya, who reside in distant Imbrulio City, tightly control what glassblowers are allowed to create—and what forms of magic must never be used.
Max and his best friend Layna have always followed the rules. They have no reason not to.
Until the day everything shatters.
When their parents are summoned to the bustling Nemesh shuk for a meeting at the mysterious “glassblower’s stall,” nothing seems out of place. The market is crowded, bustling, and alive. But then an outcast magician named Petramina ignites a distraction at the crossroads—and in the chaos, something far worse is unleashed.
A shadowy sorcerer known as the Nejter strikes.
A kaba blast tears through the stall, ripping reality apart in a single, impossible instant. When the dust settles, Max and Layna’s families are gone—dragged into a forgotten realm spoken of only in Arcadiyan mythology, a place from which no one has ever returned.
Their world offers no answers. Only silence.
Separated and sent to neighbouring orphanages, Max and Layna grow up under the watchful control of the Imbrulio regime, where history is censored, magic is restricted, and questions are dangerous.
As they begin training as glassblowers under Morai Ducraan, they slowly realise the truth: everything they are being taught has been filtered, shaped, controlled. Even Arcadiya’s history feels incomplete.
Something is missing.
Then Petramina returns.
She gives Max an azure lantern—and a message: find the true heir to Zaraka’s pendant, and he may learn whether his family is still alive.
That night, Max, Layna, and their friends Hassan and Jaicara steal a magic carpet and flee Nemesh, heading for Dumere—a distant village beyond Imbrulio control, where older, freer magic still survives.
What they find there changes everything.
In Dumere, they uncover a hidden world of deeper magic, forgotten histories, and dangerous truths. But as they begin to piece together the mystery of the realm the kaba blasts send their victims to, the Nejter’s influence spreads—closer than they realise.
Max Canuk is no longer just searching for his family.
He is becoming part of the Nejter’s story—a story both of them are trying to erase.

Good afternoon all,I’m looking for readers of upper YA fantasy to read and review my book prior to launch. effectively “all-ages” (very little violence, no spice and the language is generally acceptable), reviews so far have pegged it as Pratchett meets Pullman.
It’s light-hearted, whimsical, absolutely ridiculous at times, but has a “suprisingly complex storyline” (thanks to an early reader for that one! “surprisingly”!)

Hello everyone,My name is Bek Duishekeev. I am a Kyrgyz-American writer and founder of Manas Heritage Press. I am currently preparing MANAS: The Love, Book One of a planned nine-book prose saga adapted from the Kyrgyz heroic epic Manas.
I am looking for a small number of thoughtful beta readers who enjoy historical fiction, literary epic, myth retellings, world literature, or character-driven fantasy.
This is an unpublished manuscript, and I am not asking for public reviews at this stage. I am looking for honest private feedback on the reading experience.
I would especially appreciate thoughts on:
whether the opening chapters are engaging
whether the characters feel alive and emotionally clear
whether the world is understandable for readers unfamiliar with Kyrgyz culture
where the pacing slows down
whether the story makes you want to continue
I would prefer to begin by sending Chapters 1–3 first. If the book feels like a good fit, I can send more afterward.

Hello everyone,I'm looking for a few readers who enjoy historical fiction, medieval adventures, or stories centered on the Crusades and the early Ottoman period.
I've recently completed a **42,000-word historical adventure novella**, *The Curse of the Crusader*, and would greatly appreciate your impressions before publication.
**About the story:**
When a young scholar named Matteo discovers clues to an ancient relic hidden since the Crusades, he is drawn into a dangerous quest that stretches across the Balkans and the fading Byzantine world. Pursued by powerful enemies and surrounded by centuries-old secrets, he must decide how much he is willing to sacrifice to uncover the truth.
The novella blends real historical events and figures with a fictional mystery involving forgotten brotherhoods, hidden manuscripts, and lost knowledge.
I'm mainly interested in your thoughts on:
* Did the story keep you engaged?
* Were the characters believable and interesting?
* Did the pacing feel right?
* Was anything confusing or difficult to follow?
* Did the historical setting feel authentic and immersive?
* As an English reader, did the language read naturally?
The manuscript was originally written in Bulgarian and has been carefully translated and extensively rewritten in English. Because of that, feedback from native or fluent English readers would be especially valuable.
If this sounds like a book you'd enjoy, I'd be happy to share the manuscript. Thank you for considering it, and I truly appreciate any time you're willing to spend reading and sharing your thoughts.
[ARC Request] Children's Cozy Mystery Chapter Book — [6k words] [Launches Aug 26]Hi everyone! I'm Jonia, an indie children's author. Book 2 of my cozy mystery series, Whiskers & Clues: Nina, the Cat Detective, launches on August 26, and I'm looking for a few advance readers.
Title: Nina and the Case of the Vanishing Cupcakes
Age range: 5–9 (chapter book, ~6,000 words, ~20-minute read)
Genre: Cozy mystery, fully illustrated
Twelve special cupcakes have vanished from the village bakery, hours before the Spring Tea Festival. The doors were locked. The windows were latched. And the crime scene has been wiped suspiciously clean.
It's a fair-play mystery, so every clue is on the page and young readers can solve it right alongside Nina. Gentle and completely clean: no danger, no villains. The culprit turns out to be someone kind who panicked, and the ending is about telling the truth and asking for help.
What I'm offering: a free advance copy (EPUB or PDF) of the finished book. An honest review is hugely appreciated but never required. Goodreads reviews can go up anytime; Amazon doesn't allow them until the book is live, so those would go up on launch day (Aug 26).
Perfect for parents, grandparents, teachers, or librarians who read with young children. You don't need to have read Book 1, it stands alone.
Comment here or send me a message and I'll get a copy to you. Thank you so much!
Jonia Epp

"The Cumberland Tales" is a combo work of prose and poetry. It's a whimsical collection of short connected tales in a town where nothing is quite as it seems. A great read for lovers of magic realism.
"Mother's Keep," also a combo work of prose and poetry, filled with magic realism, a haunting tale of loss, guilt, and the healing power of forgiveness.
I have one more book called, "Cumberland Gold" which is also available as an ebook free from Dec. 29 to Jan. 2.. This one is a murder/thriller/puzzler. Ancient Chinese revenge and old time coal ming collide in Cumberland's Chinatown, where secrets lie deep beneath the inky black swamp, and buried beneath the coal dust. Reach out to the author at frankwaynemottl@proton.me for a free ecopy of this book.
