Jay, your books wonderfully evoke the past in all its mysteries and mundane details. I read a great deal of fiction from the '40s and '50s too and your books read as if they were actually created in those eras and could have been found on the wondrous drugstore paperback spinner racks of yore; they have a rich feeling of authenticity.
