Hi everyone 👋 I'm Xiaorong — a Chinese diaspora woman, mother, and life coach living in Canada. I'm also a first-time author, and I wanted to introduce myself and my memoir here.
My book is called *I AM GOOD: A Memoir of Reclaiming the Girl Within to Find My Way Home*.
It's the story of growing up in the shadow of my mother's suicide, immigrating to the West, and spending decades quietly believing I wasn't enough — until becoming a mother myself finally forced me to heal the little girl I had buried. It's about generational trauma, the complexity of cultural identity, the raw and unglamorous side of motherhood, and the long, imperfect journey back to self-worth.
If you've ever loved *Crying in H Mart*, *Educated*, or *Untamed* — or if you've ever sat with the feeling of not quite belonging, in your family, your culture, or your own skin — I think this book might speak to you.
I'd love to connect with readers who are on their own healing journeys. And I'm genuinely happy to discuss the book, answer questions, or just be a listening ear here. 🌿
