oh no! I'm so sorry the ending knocked two stars! Unfortunately, I don't think I would end it any other way. It was supposed to come across as a whiplash moment breaking the peace we fought towards, driving you to read book two to see what happens. If that was the end of the story I would hate it too! But luckily there is soo much more to dive into. I can assure you, Theo is not dead nor is the village or Arborus, and there is a reason lake jumping only works at certain times. My thoughts are the story is only worth it if you read book two :)
