Heidi, thank you for sharing your experience. I agree with you that the middle of this book lacks any big climatic events and that it could have been interesting for Gage to go to the Noblemen's Feast. But, if he had, the much bigger and more important adventures that await him in Delkara would have unfolded without him and far differently than they do with him there. If you ever continue reading this series and reach the events in this book that unfold at the Nikledon Fair, I would love to hear your thoughts again about if this story was worth wading through Gage's avoidance to get to the point where he absolutely must make a choice about his path forward. : )
