Z. Maria ARC NEEDED: Dark Romance
She lives behind three locks. He lives in her shadows. 🖤🔥

Ten years ago, he was given an order to end her life. Instead, he made her his obsession.

She thinks she’s safe in her quiet life, clicking her three locks into place every single night. She has no idea that every breath she’s taken has been watched, guarded, and counted by the very man who was meant to be her executioner.

Now, the shadows are closing in, and he’s tired of watching from afar. He’s stepping out of the dark to claim what has always been his, even if it means shattering her world to pieces.

Nikki La I was totally disturbed by this ARC, but in a good way. I knew right away that I was supporting the wrong person, which made me distrust my own judgment as a reader. How did I come to feel sorry for the stalker? It was precisely this unsettling tension that made the story so compelling.

The author does a fantastic job of drawing you into a morally perverted viewpoint, making it difficult to distinguish between right and wrong until you are unsure of where your allegiances should be. Anticipating a time that would bring me back to "reality," I continued to wait for the other shoe to drop, but this simply intensified the experience.
