Tekes- the book felt out of place to me because I’m established in my personal and professional lives, not trying to figure out my next steps the way these characters are. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad book, just that I’m not the target audience. 10-15 years ago I would have connected with the characters a lot more.
I guess I was looking for which book was published 9 years after 2Pac’s death.
I did a solid scrub when I wrote this on timelines of published books and available music, so that comment was interesting to me
