Romance vs Romantic Mystery > Likes and Comments

Hi, My name is Keith Williams. I have written two novels that are best described as Romantic Mystery. However, I am interested in finding out what readers are actually looking for when considering reading a book. Is it pure romance with a focus on the relationship - or do readers still want that external influence making it more of a journey with suspense and/or mystery? All feedback welcome
