Trey Too bad, Ms. Carol. I love'em all, but this one, is one of a few that sags the most.

Glad you enjoyed my fast food analogy :)

Thanks, Trey--Good to know. I won't write him off--some of my friends love his work, so there must be something there! BTW, any you would particularly recommend?

Trey My personal favorite is The Last Coyote. The Closers was memorable (for me, at least). And for a novel outside of the Bosch series - definitely The Poet.

Judi Occasionally I eat an entire bag of the crunchy Cheetoes. When I have that urge in relation to a book I will look for a different indulgence. Good review.

Thanks! I appreciate it.

Thanks, Judi. I hear you on the indulgence/quick book. This wasn't bad by any means--the Harlan Coben (?) I tried was less tolerable. But I didn't get what makes the books so attractive. Hopefully, Trey's suggestions will help.

William I agree. One of my least-favourite Bosch.

Thank you for the review!

Marie-Jo Fortis If you want to give the Bosh series another chance, just start at the beginning. This one was a letdown for me. One to skip.
