Monica Kim | Musings of Monica Yun: wow, now I want to read it because of your review. I wasn’t initially interested at all.fantastic review as always! — Mo✌️

Saranya [hiatus] Awwh, I'm so sorry this didn't turn out as expected. Hope your next read is much better, Yun! Wonderful review<3<3

Jayme C (Brunetteslikebookstoo) Not a book that I plan to read, but pretending to be one thing and hating those who are living the lives you actually covet does seem pointless. I always enjoy reading all POV’s on a book, so thank you! Terrific review!

message 4: by Kealyn (new)

Kealyn I'm so sorry that this book missed its mark completely. If you create an unhinged character is does need to be balanced out with other things. Beautiful and fair review Yun. ♥

message 5: by Priyanka (new)

Priyanka Amazing review, Yun! Really enjoyed reading your critique and I so agree with so many of your points when it comes to what I want to see in the books that are juggling both satire and social commentary.

message 11: by Maggie ♡ (new)

Maggie ♡ Wonderful review Yun! Seems like the way the character was created was strange. I feel like either the character embracing this lifestyle or allowing herself to change if she wanted would be more interesting. People are should always live how they want ❤️

message 12: by Deeksha (new)

Deeksha Bhardwaj Natalie sounds really frustrating! Hope your next read is better. Excellent review, Yun🧡

Deanna Loves to Read!!:) Fantastic, honest review, Yun! And thank you! I was debating on reading this- but I would struggle with the very same things you discussed- so thank you for sparing me this read!!!😳💕

message 15: by R.J. (new)

R.J. Sorrento This is such a thoughtful review. I’m going to steer clear of this book! I don’t need that level of negativity in my headspace so I really appreciate what you shared.

message 16: by aly (new)

aly ☆彡 oh no this actually sounds miserable and i could def see an insufferable character. it has such a good topic to write about but too bad it didnt go the best way. i can see why this was disappointing. hope your next read is better yun!

message 17: by Escaping (new)

message 37: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Loved your review...very helpful. I passed on this, and your review is a confirmation that I wanted. Thanks Yun.

message 38: by Kara (new)

Kara I'm only 100 pages into this book and your review has hit home. It is an odd concept and curious how it unfolds. But as I'm reading it's once again women against women and judging the choices we make. I'm curious what is to come with the social media aspect but her internal dialogue so far is really uncalled for and beyond judgmental.

message 39: by Freefall (new)

Freefall (ia, find me on discord) you lost me at paragraph four...i didn't even read the book and im raising an eyebrow but the fact that you had to suffer through it is unfortunate asf, i'm sorry yun 😭
