Oh Sweetie, you've given me too much credit. I have read the reviews, which is what I cite in my review. btw, not everyone gives star ratings—it's the stars you want, right?

Martin Since you never read it, why are you writing about it?

Martin, I was 14 when I was told by a classmate that my favorite teacher was having sex with a 12 year old. It took me a decade to come to terms with that. I taught high school for forty years. During that time a teacher, several coaches, and a security officer had sex with underage girls. When I was sexually harassed myself at 18, the reaction from the man I tried to tell made clear that me talking about it was the ugly thing, not the man's act. When I tried to report a man molesting a young child of maybe 7, I got nowhere. It was 1970, and no one wanted to hear about it.

And Epstein. That's why.

It's time we stop making excuses and begin holding people accountable.

I regret this makes you uncomfortable. If you object to my opinions, please, don't read my reviews.

Jan Priddy Oh, and I earned three Art degrees from the University of Washington, have loved his paintings all my life and still do.

Thea Swanson It's quite obvious to me why Jan is writing about it. We need to write and read about this pervasive, perennial, terrible topic every chance we get.
