Sera Drake Thank you for the kind review - I'll probably reread it on days when I have doubts about my ability to write!

No kindness necessary, it's a fabulous read. How's part 2 coming along?

Sera Drake Slowly. Alas, my writing speed falls somewhere between "forming stalactite" and "speeding turtle." It took me eleven years to write the rough draft of Ancilla and another two years to get out the deluxe edition with its supplementary material. It probably doesn't help that I have a full-time day job to pay the bills.

I'll try to get Soror Mystica done within five years. Currently, I'm working on another collection of short stories, most of them magical realism if they have a recognizable genre at all... What Is Told: A Conglomeration of Confabulations is a passion project of mine. It's the book I'm writing for my offspring (ages 15 - 23) so they can finally read me without being traumatized for life by stuff no child should ever read if their own parent wrote it. No erotic content whatsoever. On the other hand, at least one of the short stories is going to involve "Magister" when he's very young, and "Magister's" perspective is interesting, I think.

Even so, it will only reveal so much about him. I'd like "Magister" to always be a little bit of a mystery to my readers.
