Elizabeth Karen Every month The Discovery Shelf spotlights one underread book that deserves far more readers than it is currently reaching. Members nominate books, we vote together, and the featured book gets full community support including Goodreads shelf building, Listopia placement discussions, and reader recommendations.
To nominate a book reply with the title, author, and one sentence on why it deserves more readers.
Welcome. Let us find the books nobody is talking about yet.

Victor Lana Hello.

I'm not sure how this works. Let me know when and if I can nominate my own book. Thank you.

Richard Kelly Magee, The Neighborhood.
Imaginative and insightful short stories that range from speculative (a town with a mermaid problem) to familiar…almost (a woman goes to her former partner’s fair-themed wake)—Magee is one of my favorite writers.

Elizabeth Karen Hi Victor, great question. The group is for spotlighting underread books, and we’re still deciding on self-nomination rules. Hang tight — @Elizabeth will clarify soon. In the meantime, feel free to nominate other underread books you love that aren’t your own!

Victor Lana Supra/Normal : No More Superheroes by A.S. McDermott
Very interesting look at what makes a superhero super and yet also what it is like dealing with power. Highly recommend this book.

A.L. Nightshade I am A.L. Nightshade, an emerging author who recently debuted my first releases last month. I highly recommend The Raven's Cry by Christina Whisler—a compelling story following a young woman who attends a unique academy to uncover the truth about her past and identity.
