Ella Good I’ve been looking for a new space type of book that is Ya! It can have Romance or anything as long as there’s not any spice! I love this song and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations that have that same kind of feel to them.

〰️Beth〰️ Love Kate Bush. What a classic that takes me back to my youth but so relevant this past week with Artemis.

With that in mind I will suggest Alpha Class by T.S. Paul. It is the first of a 4 book YA sub series in the Kutherian Gambit Universe. It can be read alone but this is a link series from the paranormal earth bound to space expansion of the main series. The original series is based on the idea that vampires and werewolves come from aliens but is not YA.

Alpha Class is fun because the Alpha student group gets to take a "field trip"to the moon as part of their learning modual with the somewhat socially incompetent trio of "inventors" who have created much of the tech getting the group into outer space.

Though if you are old enough to have been around for the original release of "Hello Earth" you just might enjoy the kick butt heroine, Bethany Anne and her creative cursing in Death Becomes Her and the other books in the original Kutherian Gambit series. There are several other adult and YA series branching off that are sciece fiction or fantasy ( those who survived on Earth after WW3 and civilization collapsed) Most are fast reads.

I can probably think of a few more books over the weekend that do not link closely to such a massive series. Plus link closely to the song.

Celia Roth Yessssss, I need some book recommendations that are very impactful and would make me pause and stare at the wall after I finish, while being a page Turner. I LOVE SAD ENDINGS, they are better than the cringy forced happy ones but I'm okay with either. Ella, I would recommend If He Had Been With Me for Hello Earth for looking at a distorted reflection of something you can't quite reach, but I don't think it's a very exact match! I will have to try the books Alpha Class and Death Becomes Her too!

My recs were not sad, more fun and light hearted. Marko Kloos has a series that starts with Terms of Enlistment it shows a more dystopian, militarist future for earth that pushes humans to space and focuses on a few characters. Well written and shows both the toll on individuals, the planet and humanity as a whole.

Hi Ella. Just seen your post. I'm not an author who generally pushes my novels on readers, but my Original Earth series sounds like it will be a great fit. It's a whimsical story about a girl who crash lands on an alien planet and grows up in the jungle and makes friends with a lot of the wildlife. She has a gift: her personal vibration is in perfect harmony with the natural world. It is very much environmental science fiction and she meets an alien woman called Sonri and begins to explore the universe. Three novels in the series so far. I'm currently writing Book Four.

It's available on KU, but if you haven't got KU, let me know and I'll make it available for a free download.
